A One Day Seminar on "Mizoram University Students for Children of Mizoram” was jointly organized by Mizoram State Commission for Protection of Child Rights and Students’ Council & Discussion Forum, Mizoram University on 6th September, 2023 at the University Auditorium.
The programme was chaired by Vanlallawmkimi Ralte, Treasurer, Discussion Forum, MZU. Keynote address was delivered by the Chief Guest - Prof. Vanlalchhawna, Finance Officer of Mizoram University and the Guest of Honour - Dr. C. Lalsangzuala, Chairperson, Mizoram State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. T. Vanlalhmangaihi, Student from the Dept. of Psychology presented a melodious song for the gathering.
The Technical Session was moderated by Celina Vanlalhruaizeli, Asst. Secretary, Discussion Forum, MZU.
A presentation on the topic “An Overview on Child Rights” was presented by Priscilla Lallawmsangi, Legal Officer, MSCPCR and Dr. Henry Zodinliana Pachuau, Associate Professor, Dept.. of Social Work, Mizoram University delivered a presentation on the topic “Child Abuse in Mizoram”.
A solo was performed by Camping Laldingliana, student from the Dept. of Mizo and the Programme was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by James Rothangpuia, Vice Chairman, Discussion Forum, Mizoram University.
