The UNICEF Team, headed by Dr. Madhulika Jonathan, Chief of Field Office, North East States made a visit to MSCPCR today. Dr. C. Lalsangzuala, Chairperson, MSCPCR and the Staff of MSCPCR facilitated the meeting wherein Pi Zoramthangi Chhangte, Director, Women & Child Development, Pi Amy Lalrinpuii, Principal Programme Manager, Mizoram State Child Protection Society and Dr. Lalrinhlua, District Child Protection Officer, Aizawl District also participated at the meeting held at Conference Hall, MSCPCR.
The UNICEF and the State Commission resolved and made MoU on projects related to child rights and children related legislations in the state. The UNICEF Chief was accompanied by Shri Laxmi Narayan Nanda, Child Rights Specialist, UNICEF, North East States and Shri Suresh Parmar, Specialist (Social & Behaviour Change) UNICEF, North East States.
